Fabio hairstylist, who lost battle with cancer, dies aged 92
A Melbourne hairdressing salon owner who lost the battle with colon cancer will die aged 92.
Fabio Hairstylis, who started the business in 1957, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday.
The salon is run by his son, Fabio and daughter, Nellie.
Mr Hairstyler was diagnosed with colon Cancer in April this year.
“I have no idea what will happen to Fabio now but I will always cherish the memories of him and his family,” said his son Fabio.
Nellie Hairstyle, who ran the salon with her husband, Steve, said it was a “blessing” for them to know the business would continue to run.
The business was a big part of the Hairstyles family, she said.
“I would have been absolutely devastated if he was gone.
I am heartbroken, I cannot believe it.”
Mr and Mrs Hairstymare are not sure how many people visited their salon, but Mr Hairstly’s son, who runs the shop, said they were not sure.
“The number we don’t know, but we do know there are lots of people who have visited,” Mr Haortyler said.
It was a great day, for everyone in the family, said Mrs Haortyle.
He loved his customers and he loved his job, he said.
“He had a huge heart.
He always said, ‘I love my customers’.”
There is no doubt in my mind, he will be missed very much by everyone.
“Mr Haortymare said the business had a “huge impact” on his family.”
It was such a joy to work with people and it was so important to keep Fabio’s family informed,” he said “I am so sad to hear Fabio is no longer here to work.
